My best friend is the only man for me…and he’ll never be mine. I can’t have him… I’m Liam. My freshman year at college is giving me a tough time. It’s not just the classes … it’s knowing I’m in love with my straight best friend, Nathan. I can’t leave him… We’ve been friends forever, and that means I have to help him get ready for his date with Charlotte, the girl we know from high school. It kills me to think he’ll never feel the same way about me that I do about him. Unless something changes… Owen, the guy from my hockey team, is into me … and maybe it’s just my imagination, but that seems to bother Nathan. Is there really a chance for us, or am I just kidding myself? Freshman Feint is a 21000 word new adult contemporary MM romance novella with no cliffhangers and a HEA. It's the first of the Straight College Guys series, but can be read as a standalone. Recommended for readers 18+ due to mature themes and explicit content.

By Kindle Customer I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.Liam and Nathan have just started college together. Being roommates shouldn't be difficult except for the fact that Liam is in love with Nathan, his straight best friend. However, things between friends start to change when a teammate of Liam's starts to show interest in him and Nathan starts acting different. Liam wonders if Nathan is jealous but how could that be since he's straight. Maybe things aren't as straightforward as Liam thinks. Will things work out between Liam and Nathan? Will his love for Nathan be returned?Overall this was an AWESOME book! This book definitely beat my expectations by a long shot. The book is detailed and well written. The characters are well developed. I was engrossed in the story from the very first page until the very end. It made me cry one minute and laugh the next. All of the emotions it pulled out of me as the reader makes this book fantastic and I highly recommend it!

Unrequited Undone #1 By Bo This will serve as a joint-review for both Books 1 & 2 of this series--I don't know if that's all there is, but the two are so close in plotline, character development, and major turning points that I cannot imagine another member of the Toronto University hockey team coming out as gay given these two books. In any case, Liam the hockey player and Nathan the swimmer are lifelong best friends and now freshmen at Toronto U., where they are roommates which drives Liam up the wall because Nathan is straight. That's Book 1's premise. Liam turns to Owen, who is the hottest man on campus, apparently, and a sophomore teammate who is openly gay, and they commiserate.Owen eventually helps Liam get to the point where Owen is--falling in love with a straight best friend is not easy, and even though Owen refuses to disclose whom his love interest is, we get the hint somewhere and it's confirmed forcefully in the prelude to Book 2 (no spoilers). The tables are turned as far as Liam and Owen are concerned, and the crisis for Owen is identical to that which Liam faced in the first book (no spoilers). In any case, the stories are sweet and a bit rocky at times, the sex is off the charts when it happens. However, my main problem is the first chapter in each book (prologues, really), which are absolutely not necessary. Still, they're both worth reading.

Just what I needed By SR Brennan ***I received a free copy of this book In return for an honest review***Freshman Feint is the first book in the straight college guys series. The book is told in Liam's POV. Liam is rooming with his best friend Nathan for their freshman year. These guys have known each other since they were practically in diapers! Liam is in love with Nathan. Problem is, Nathan's straight.I really liked Liam. He was very relatable and I enjoyed being in his head. There was a touch of angst in the book but not too much and I really felt my heart break for him! We have all been "in love" with someone we shouldn't be with! Being Nathan's best friend takes precedence for Liam so he doesn't want to let Nathan know his feelings. It's just hard for him though to watch him date others! The story was short and sweet. I've been bored halfway through books lately so the length was perfect for me! I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series. Maybe it's about Owen?
