Glad that Anson was helping Shay with her siblings. Sharee was wrong for getting at Shay at her graduation but at least they already knew who it was. Shareee thought she was going to be able to kill Shay & get Anson back. All that did was make him mad & show that he really loved Shay. He got kidnapped by Sharee & she was going to take the dock so she could get pregnant. He wouldn't give her the satisfaction. Shay & Tay figured something was wrong & went looking for him. They managed to find out where he was by the watch Shay brought him. They went where they were & Shay ended up killing her. Shay & Anson decided that they were going on a vacation & get married also. They got married & had all of their family there. They have twins & friends of there's all have kids to. Shay decide to try to be civil to Sonja her mother because she is sick

The very first book had Shay and Tay at a very young age just graduating high school and this book has them finishing college as well as time beyond college so it was like we got to see them grow up (if you read the first and second books) The relationship between Anson and Shay was so sweet and I really liked that this book painted Black men in a positive light and it showed that they honestly and sincerely loved their women. I was looking forward to this book and it did not disappoint I'm almost kind of sad that it's the end of Shay and Anson's story. Nice work Ms Jones.

I love the way this author picked up this edition with a continuous free flowing motion from book number two. Not to mention the enjoyment I received overall from the story.

Some self-published authors claim to be authors. Anyone can write and publish a book on Amazon or other venues, but it takes a real honest to goodness story-teller to make it work. This book was a quick read,but a very good one! Kudos to the author for delivering an excellent book that is grammatically correct and a clean read. You won't want to miss this book!

SHE WAS VERY SAD NOW SHE IS OVERCOME WITH JOY AND LOVE By Dorothy Hendrickson Clara had received her ticket for the train from Darryl she could she the thickness of the envelope. She got cold feet and did not open it for sometime and after a bad date she decided to open it and go to be Darryls bride. When she gets there she is told that Darryl Finch is dead, she finds herself in a bar crying and drinking. The bartender takes her home and me s her stay in here s spare room because he cannot leave her alone. He is a Christian and she takes care of his home and they are good friends, but you read what happens in the rest of the story.

When Clara felt she was not able to find a husband, she decides to answer an add for a mail order bride. Then gets cold feet and almost doesn't follow thru. After finally taking the train west, she is in for a very big surprise. A twist that leads to a happily ever after.

Very dissapointed and angry By Beyond the page i had hoped this writer had grown and stopped using the formula of abused female who turns around and falls in love with her captor.i am also tired of the constant games and challenges robin has in his books. There is a lot of potential and fascinating aspects to his stories but alas they in the end make me very angry and bored. There were moments i thought that this character would be different, then after being fierce, standing up for herself and voicing her anger she would concede and ask for a hug!Really?????

This 1 is the same basic plot as the first Fox book. Only the names have changed, the lying, manipulation & emotional abuse of the "sybmissive" character has continued. I'll not be getting another title by this writer.

The only reason it didn't get a one star is because, from an objective view, if a story can make someone feel as angry and disgusted as I did it must be doing something "right." Other than the main character, the people in this book were straight up VILLAINS. Seriously bad people who did not deserve happiness in the end. Sapphire wasn't just a doormat, she was the epitome of a doormat. She did not react to what was happening in a rational human way. Conversations would basically go like this:Alien: "Yes, I totally lied to you. We cheated to ensure you had no way to win, we are probably going to mentally and physically abuse you for our own amusement, and you're probably never going to see your family and friends ever again."Sapphire: "Darn that sucks! Here give me a hug with your tentacles to make me feel better!"One thing they talk about is the rampant xenophobia amongst the humans, and quite frankly after seeing the way the aliens behaved, it's totally justified. I wish I could wash this book from my mind.

It’s the story of overcoming your fears, letting go of your past, and start trusting again.Lena Nichols is a young woman who went through hell, only to come out on the other side stronger. She’s quite badass, while still expressing a vulnerability. During the first few weeks at University, Lena experiences something horrible that sends her running back home. Deciding not to go back to University, she starts to work for her father’s company—working her way up from the bottom. During a day of volunteering at the woman’s shelter, she meets Nate Masters, a former soldier, turned police officer.I like both characters, Lena and Nate. They have great chemistry and an attraction that is pretty hot. From the prologue, you know that Lena is not your average woman; she went through hell, which made her weary to trust. But Nate is determined to gain her trust and break down her walls. However, outside forces are trying to ruin what the two of them are building.I do like Freed by Him. The plot is great and well-thought out—the characters are likeable and engaging. However, sadly, I found the writing somewhat lacking. The story has so much potential. While I wish the writing, as well as editing, would have been better, it’s not to say I won’t read the next book in the series. I definitely will. The characters and plot have left me curious as to what will happen next.A warning though, the book does ends in a cliffhanger.*Received this ARC in exchange for an honest review*

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. good debut By Helena (Bookhooked) What I didn’t realise when I selected this book for review was its part of a series and there is an absolute stinker of a cliffhanger at the end of this book……This book is a difficult book to review as I did struggle with parts of this book and I will say that it was almost a DNF for me as a seasoned reader who reads up to 5 books a week mostly for review purposes I look for that something special in a book.The beginning and prologue to this book was great it sucked me in and as a british woman I could relate to the characters and the language and it was refreshing to read the words, mum, knickers and all those Britishisms that I miss when reading the Americanised books.20-50% of the book really did feel quite flat and I found the characters annoying and monotonous. I was about to put the book down when things really did pick up….the book started to flow and the story really started to grab me and I felt the author had really found a good grip on the story and I feel that these feelings should be expressed as this is my personal view and my point is that the book ended up being really good and my potential DNF ended up as a 3 ½ to 4 star read.Nate is a great character, I loved him and his vulnerabilities and his attitude towards life and his alpha caveman persona and I felt him a great match for Lena who is a ball buster with a vulnerable side and I really liked their dynamic as a couple..I really do recommend this novel and I think it rocked as a debut, I feel this author has fabulous potential and I’m looking forward to the continuation to this series.

By Sara Miller I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review.After surviving a brutal attack Lena leaves college behind and returns to her hometown to begin a new life. Becoming the strong, successful CEO of her family's company. She has it all, a successful career, a lovely home, a great relationship with her family and friends. Everything except for someone to share her life and love with. In comes Nate, after experiencing some betrayal after returning early from a deployment he has a major chip on his shoulder about relationships in general. He quits the armed forces and joins the local police force. (Can we say, alpha police officer hero? I know a lot of you are gonna love that premise just on that fact but Nate is so much more than a piece of meat) he's a strong, compassionate man who yes sometimes gets pushy and states things bluntly (like I said he's a guy!) but he perfectly balances Lena.They meet up after Nate responds to a call at a refuge for victims of domestic violence. And Lena feels that initial spark, she has been avoiding any personal relationships with men after her attack but I think seeing Nate easily interacting with the women who have brutalized by their partners makes her believe she could trust him, and trust her heart to give in to the pull of attraction. Now, that's not to say she makes it easy on him or they just instantly fall in love. There is a definite journey to love in this book and some speed bumps along the way. But it is definitely a journey worth taking. It's a unique story-- from the writing style (which I loved! It wasn't all Americanized down, and held some of the slang words and words us in America don't use near enough in my opinion) to the characters. They are both strong characters so they are on equal footing with each other so that power dnyamic is fun to see. In most romance novels there is a bit of a power difference maybe not totally overt but it almost always happens. With GL's writing style she gives them both a strong personality, both tops in their respective fields and a few flaws that serve to make them incredibly interesting. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
