Liberated from his prison, young Warlock Conner Sorensen is eager to mingle with the mortals. He has lived the last few years of his life at the family manor, locked down for protection from opposing forces. It is Conner’s destiny to produce an heir of unimaginable power, to turn the tide of control back in the Warlock’s favor. Despite his fate, Conner is gay, thus loathes his magical obligations. Regardless of his preferences, Conner must keep trying, for the glory of the Warlocks. Even after years of failed attempts. Scott Owen is a timid young man who has focused his entire life on work. Forced to take Conner in as his personal assistant, the junior antique appraiser finds himself enthralled by the man’s good looks and charm. Scott knows it is wrong to fall for Conner. Hell, Conner is even dating the boss’s daughter. All it takes is a little bit of magic to bring these two together. Destiny can be cruel and unusual, leaving Scott with more than one little surprise. Furthermore, the Warlocks are not the only ones interested in what Conner’s new boyfriend carries inside of him. A Warlock’s Charm is a must-read, full-length novel featuring a sexy Warlock, his tempting boss, their secret relationship and male pregnancy, or Mpreg. Interesting Story But Riddled With Grammar Problems By Daniel Bowen A warlock, a prophecy, a demanding father, and antiques.Conner is a wizard with fire talent. He does as his father commands. I don't know how old Conner is, but he's now at the point where he wants a relationship. In this case a guy at work is spiking his interest, Scott.Scott has no magical ability but does have an affinity for antiques. And it's thru his job of cataloguing and verifying antiques where he gets to know Conner. Their relationship is slow building. Conner has to keep his magical abilities hidden and his status as a warlock. Scott is openly gay yet is shy, too afraid that Conner is straight, and doesn't act on his feelings. So they hold back from each other, keeping secrets, and until courage takes over.Now. The story interested me but the execution was awful. There are punctuation mistakes, fragmented sentences, wrong word placement, and repeated misspelled words. Examples are:Instead of couch it was coach.Beginning chapter: Prophecy is wrongly spelled. Instead it is prophesy and that misspelling is repeated throughout the story.Yeah the ears tearing up happened when Scott was confiding in Jade that Conner must be gay -- He bit my bagel!Chapter 4 opens: "The tram doors swung wide open. I shuffled through a crowd of college students, finally freeing myself from metal box." That followed with a sentence with misplaced commas. Is hell capitalized? It is here. As are Warlocks, Witches, and Demons, but not mortals. A hair style is capitalized: ". . . black Mohawk style hair. . . "Fragmented sentences. Case in point the fire flower Conner makes for Scott: Sentences are: "Or better yet." "A green stem, white petals, a yellow center."It's like part of the story was passed off to someone else, someone that didn't take the time to edit. I agree with what another reviewer wrote - It's like the work was started by one person and someone else contributed. Someone that doesn't know English grammar. This is a low point in Wolf Specter's work. Very disappointing. - Dan's Wife

Usually it's the characters that make me hate a story, but this time it was mostly everything seems. Connor's dad is an ashore, Matilda is a birch that needed to be slapped and have her uterus removed and her lips sown shut, and the entire war with the witches is a farce. Even at the end, nothing is clear. Which side was good, which side was bad? Both, probably. It just felt like so much was left out and I don't think there is a sequel. Not to mention the editing is lacking. The most reoccurring mistake was using a conjugation of "come on" as "common" which would be fine except "common" is already a word, like the "common people". Yeah, the book is filled with mistakes like that. But it was good enough to read on the car ride home, and I finished it, so three stars.

A Warlocks Charm-Conner and Scott By Dawn McFadden As I read this I realized how much I liked the chemistry between Conner and Scott it was beautiful, Now we have Conner who is a Warlock and the object of a prophecy saying he will father The Gifted One which is gonna be hard to do since he's into guys his father didn't know, then there is Scott who already came out of the closet and in doing so he lost his family they did not understand from the first they had magic and then came a baby Conner and Scott find love, joy and freedom with each other they get their Happily Ever After I received a copy of the book as an ARC in return for a honest and fair review
