Summer of Awakenings:Glory days? If high school was their glory days, the outcast gay teens at the outreach centers run by Caden Fournier were screwed. For most of them, the torment they received at those schools and at the hands of their own families was enough to make living on the street seem like a better proposition. Enter Camp Pride and its devoted staff of volunteers and backers. For college students Kory Maguire and Will Cooper, the camp was a way for them to help abandoned and confused gay kids find their way in life. And it didn't hurt that the incredible hunks - ex-Navy SEALs Jacob Steele and Seth Ralston - were working there, too. Straight Kory ran into Jacob in Seattle several times and found himself having lots of definitely un-straight thoughts about him. Will had been abused by his ex-boyfriend and was skittish of all men now - especially if they were twice his size, like Seth. Werewolves Jacob and Seth have found their mates in Kory and Will. But have the fates gotten it wrong? What if Kory can't commit to a relationship with a man? Is Will too skittish to trust and give himself to someone so much more powerful than he? And can everyone put their own problems aside so that the campers can feel safe and find strength in being loved? INTO THE LYONS DEN:FBI Special Agent Devin Lyons and Russian mob boss/FBI ally Andrei Panchenko have been at each others' throats for years. Literally. They've had their hands around the other's throat lots of times. When Andrei barely escapes a bold attempt on his life, government big shot James Jacobs decides to put Devin in charge of Andrei's safety. After all, who better to keep the Russian alive than the man who wants to do the killing himself? Andrei Panchenko knows two things as fact: Devin Lyons hates him. And the FBI agent is the sexiest man he's ever seen. Forced into cohabitation, Andrei tries to figure out why the agent wants him dead. He has been nothing but honest in owning up to his crimes and kills only the vilest men who manage to escape justice. But still Lyons (who has his own violent record) treats him with contempt. In the meantime, Andrei notices a touching side to the man that he's never seen before. And THAT scares him more than any gun. Devin Lyons hates Andrei Panchenko. It's one of the things in his life that he can count on. Until he's forced to spend time with the ridiculously beautiful and sexy man. Seeing the "real" Andrei turns Devin's world upside down until he's not sure whether he wants to kill Andrei or make love to him. A common enemy of both men is determined that neither will have the chance to do anything except die. When a life-changing secret is revealed, will the resulting fallout bring the two men together or separate them forever? THE NIK OF TIMEColin Greystone has loved one man since he understood what love was: Nikolai Markov. But Nikolai is too young and Colin makes himself stay away. By the time he decides to declare his feelings, Nikolai has earned quite the reputation as a playboy and a badass. Colin spends years trying to forget the younger man, only to have his world flipped upside down when Nikolai Markov barrels back into his life. Colin is in danger and his fathers have asked Nik to protect him. Colin is less than thrilled to be forced into spending so much time --in such close contact -- with the man he swore he'd stopped loving. At 20 years old, Nikolai Markov is well known as a hired gun with a hot body. But now he only wants one thing : For Colin Greystone to give him a chance. Thrust into Colin's college life -- and dorm room -- Nikolai unloads his charms on a resistant and unbending Colin. When the two of them are in harm's way, Nikolai will kill anyone who threatens his man. His other mission? Making Colin fall for him. Can a love that began at birth survive to adulthood? Or has Nikolai's chance passed him by? THE LITTLEST ASSASSIN SHIFTERS: It's baby time!

It was enough that it was combining 2 love stories into one, I am assuming because these were lesser known and lesser “important” members of the overall group. That may also be why this story was barely even about them. Riley, Caden & Wayne opened up a new camp for gay teens, and at least 70-75% of this story was about the kids and the camp. Kids can be great, but when a story consists mostly of campfires, arts & crafts, and trail riding (and not the good kind) I don’t exactly think of sexy times.Into the Lyons Den - Devin & Andrei –3.5 stars. I enjoyed this story and it was very funny, all the way up until it got to the part about the hidden past coming to light, then it went straight downhill like a snowball for me. As far as I’m concerned, all of that could have been left out. It’s difficult enough to keep all of the other characters together; Book 2 will contain the MCs from Book 1, Book 3 will include the MCs from 1 & 2, etc. ad nauseam. Not to mention additional MCs and secondary characters being thrown in. So imagine what it’s like by the time you’ve reached Book 16, which this is. Now imagine the author mixing in characters from an entirely different series she’s written, because of course, all of her characters must live together in one big happy world. And half of the characters either have been named after a friend or family member, or has the same name as a character from this current series, so at least a dozen people share the same names. That was annoying. THEN imagine the plot twist where we find out one of the MCs is not who we, or even he, thought he was. Side note 1: if you have not read the entire Santorno series, or any at all, you may be upset by the oversharing of all of the characters’ lives. I don’t even know if I want to finish that series seeing as how I now know how they all end up. Side note 2: what is the purpose of not having the entire world know about and living in peace with werewolves to begin with, if you’re only going to keep letting more people in on the secret in every book? In this book, everyone in the Santorno/Youngblood squad has to be let in on the secret. It’s getting ridiculous, they might as well take out ads and billboards. The Nik of Time – Colin & Nikolai - 2.5 stars. Felt too long, especially with Nikolai rehashing everyone’s relationship info for Colin’s benefit. I guess it’s for anyone who didn’t recall all of that and really wanted to read it all again. I wasn’t happy with the plot twist concerning Colin. And lastly, for some reason, I just didn’t feel the love between Nik & Colin, partially because Nik’s turning over a new leaf for Colin didn’t come off as believable, but also because it felt more like long-time loyalty and obligation to one another as opposed to romantic love. Side note: apparently Colin is 4 years older than Nikolai, judging by info given regarding their past together. Nik is 20, which would make him 24. Is there a reason he is still in college at undergrad level? He was described as smart & a good student. And he’s not in grad school because he and Nik are in all the same classes, and Nik is either a freshman or a junior (the dean said his scores were good enough to qualify as a junior, that didn’t mean he was one). And what was the purpose of Nik’s little scene in the club? What man solves his anger issues by stripping? The Littlest Assassination Shifters – 1 star. At first it started out weird, then got weirder, and then the absolutely imperative - but not enjoyable - requirement of an overwhelming amount of suspension of disbelief literally drove me away. The addition of rogue wolves, witches & warlocks to the series was enough. Then the feral females and pop-up appearances by centuries old werewolves who "never really die", one of whom glowed like Conner, were added, but I managed. I was straining by the time the baby wolves were born, but once Riley got to the prison to visit his dad (the 2nd time) I'd had enough. I stopped at 89%, but forced myself to go back & finish. And of course there were more dead people stopping in to chat, and a new wackadoo named Killian added by the end. I wouldn’t have read this book had I known it would be like this.
